Formed as a recording project in 1998, Deep Rising has evolved into a spiritual rock band with a progressive edge featuring excellent singing, playing, and song writing that draws from influences as varied as Porcupine Tree, Kings X, Rush, Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Peter Gabriel, Seal, Led Zeppelin. Deep Rising music is visceral and meaningful, drawing from their influences and creating their own style which has been described as immediately accessible, interesting, deep, and definitely unique.
